Osteopath Dr Jodie Jacobs (Owner)

Jodie grew up in Melbourne and from her high school years, just knew she wanted to be an osteopath. From her own interest in how the body works and love of being active, she had a simple passion to help people keep moving throughout life.

Jodie studied osteopathy at University of Western Sydney and graduated in 2003. She then moved to Byron Bay in 2004 and continues to practice there.

Jodie now has over 20 years clinical experience, treating a wide range of patients with a variety of ailments.

Jodie’s treatment approach is largely structural but she uses a broad range of techniques to suit the patient and their individual needs. Jodie also provides education and advice on appropriate rehabilitation, lifestyle modifications, stress reduction, postural awareness and breathing to enable patients to understand and manage their own health and well-being.

Jodie regularly attends professional development seminars and has extended training in dry needling, cranial osteopathy, kinesiology taping, functional training, pregnancy and paediatrics.

As well as managing North Coast Osteopathy, Jodie is mother of two young girls. She enjoys the beach and outdoors in her spare time!

Osteopath Dr Adam Nochomovitz

B.ClinSc (Osteopathy), M.OstMed

Adam is a dedicated registered Osteopath with a robust academic foundation having newly completing his Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Science and his Master’s degree in Osteoapthic Medicine locally at Southern Cross University.

Adam adopts a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment and considers the inter-relationships between all of the body’s systems. Adams treatment philosophy is centered around personalised care and empowering patients with knowledge to help them understand and manage their own health and well-being.

Adam utilizes a variety of techniques tailored to each patients needs, these include joint mobilization, muscle energy technique, balanced ligamentous tension, joint manipulation and myofascial release. These methods aim to restore optimal body function through the bodies innate healing capabilities which is a fundamental principle of osteopathy.

In his leisure time, Adam enjoys staying active through soccer, running, hiking and participating in communal activities. His passion for maintaining an active lifestyle complements his professional interests and allows him to connect with patients.

Adam has a particular interest in sports injuries as well as acute and chronic conditions
